Honestly - this place is my favorite mediterranean food spot! the food is always so fresh and flavorful! We always get the platters but it comes with tons of meat and they bring it out so nicely. the tabbouleh is nice lemony and fresh. hummus is amazing as well as the baba ghanosh! They are reasonably priced compared to other spots in Columbus that serve similar food. so love the self serve - you grab your own utensils, plates, water etc. It just makes it easier I prefer and don't have to wait on staff to bring it to you. they have lots of ample seating as well! parking is in a lot next door but this place is busy - so gotta street park when the lot gets full. Love this place, will keep coming back!
A new Columbus favorite! The baba, chicken Kefta sandwich and the lamb shwarma were incredible. So full of flavor and quality ingredients! The service was great and the restaurant is so nice, and easy take to go across to the brewery, since they don't serve alcohol. Would recommend trying their hot sauce, it was so delicious on the sandwich! Really great place, excited to make it our go to.
My friend and I decided to try this place and it was so good I had the chicken liver. The employee suggested it and it was very good!! The service and food was excellent!! Highly recommend. Parking isn't that great but it's worth it.
I loved this restaurant and will be back! I'm of Middle Eastern decent, so the food seemed authentic in taste and variety. The portions were large for the price. Water is free but they offer a variety of beverages, as well. Overall, it was a satisfying meal. Yum... the sweet potato fries, beef shwarma wrap, and fried pickles. We went at 5:30 pm for dinner, but just know, soon there after, the place filled up quickly ... that's a good sign though. You pick your table then order at the counter, so save your seat! Another upside - Loved the interior and there was a parking lot.
I absolutely loved my visit to Habibi Grill. I am not very familiar with the area where the restaurant is located, so I was initially dismayed that it was across the street from Budd Dairy Food Hall. Arguably the best food hall in the city, my initial reaction was to go to Budd Dairy instead of Habibi, however, when it was all said and done, I was very happy with my experience at Habibi. The concept is simple and efficient - you order at the counter and help yourself to the utensils. When the food is ready, it is brought to your table. The restaurant itself has a casual vibe, but has some very tasteful wall decor. We ordered several dishes - Hummus and Kibbeh for appetizers, Beef Shish Kebab and Chicken Shawarma for main entrees, and a Mango Smoothie to drink. All the items we ordered were fantastic, and huge portions. The hummus is one of the best in town, and both the chicken and beef were well-seasoned and tender. The smoothie was also flavorful, and actually tasted like mango. I am already looking forward to going back to Habibi. Yes, I know Budd Dairy is across the street, but Habibi more than holds its own as a fantastic Lebanese restaurant.
This was my first time trying Lebanese food and as a first-timer, the food was delicious! Habibi Grill is a self-serve restaurant, where you go to the cashier to order your food, grab your plates and utensils, and seat yourself. The staff will bring out your order and inform you to leave your plates at the table at the end of your stay so they can clean it up afterwards. I like how they have combo platter options for large gatherings and for people who want to try a sample of their meats. I had the Combo Platter which has 1 skewer of chicken tawook, lamb kafta and chicken kafta, and beef shawarma over a bed of rice. Served with hummus, pita bread and house Lebanese salad on separate plates. Meant to serve 2-3 people. The platter was so big I had to take some of the food home and it lasted me 2 days. My mother and I hardly ate anything all day and spent most of the day outside walking/horseback riding, thinking the hunger we built up would be able to finish the platter. Nope! We were smitten with delicious food. The meat was so delicious and well-seasoned, the rice was tasty, even as a stand-alone. I really enjoyed the hummus and pita, and the salad, onions, and cabbage had a nice zesty flavor to compliment the meat. The staff were very nice and informative in navigating us how to order and assemble our table for the meal. The space has limited seating and parking so best to come here for an early lunch or dinner. Overall, the food is delicious. The staff are polite. The atmosphere is calm. Highly recommend this place!
Been meaning to try it, realized it was on my way, stopped in while starving. Easy parking on a weekday mid-afternoon. Nice place inside, not fancy but classy, if that makes sense. Order at the counter and they bring your food out. I got the hummus because I love it, and it was a good version: huge, beautifully plated, tasty. Plenty of small pita triangles. I also got the soujouk. Described as spicy sausage, both terms which I love. It was tiny bites of sausage, very tasty. Not at all spicy. Spiced, yes, full of flavor, not hot. Came with pickled cabbage- vinegary and snappy. And pickled okra- a tiny hint of heat in that, but you'll survive. Also a small cup of sour cream, which I dipped some sausage bits into. Thirsty on this hot day, I got a smoothie to go. The house special: mango strawberry. It was excellent. All this came to $40 including tip. Steep- but it was a ton of excellent food. Service is minimal but fast and friendly. Place is pleasant. I'm sure I'll be back.
Building is located on 4th street with a small parking lot, maybe 10-12 cars. There is street parking in front and around the area. The experience is different where you grab a menu and find an open seat. Once decided, you step to the cash register to order and they give you a table number. Food is delivered to your table not to mention it's quick service! Don't forget to purchase drinks at ordering (there is no alcohol). They do have water station + plates/utensils that is self served near the entrance. Staff was super friendly and helpful. Mango smoothie - refreshing natural flavor (not sugary) Fried mushroom - lightly seasoned unlike most fried mushrooms at establishments where it's overly salty Combo Platter (serves 2-3) - just WOW! First off, the portion is not for 2-3. This could be for 4-6!! Such a a large portion, at a reasonable price. Platter comes with a nice refreshing Lebanese salad, dressing is light. Hummus is NICELY seasoned. Good, natural hummus should NOT be overly salted. The proteins: Chicken Tawook, Lamb and Chicken Kafta, and Beef Shawarma were seasoned PERFECTLY! Often times meats can be overly seasoned with too much salt. This dish was not! Each meat tasted different in its own way, very flavorful. The meats paired well with the long grain rice and side sauces. Ask for the spicy sauce (wasn't too spicy) to dip the meat with. Definitely arrive hungry!
